As a casting director, I deal with agents all day every day. Emails, phone calls, face-to-face communications, so I know how agents work.
You understand the communication between the actor and the agent, but I understand the communication between an agent and a casting director.
It’s not rocket science, they’re there to try and promote their clients. Do you think they try and promote every client? Or just the ones they think have got a really great chance?
The point I’m making is, you have to be one of your agents ‘hot’ clients. You have to be at the forefront of their mind, on the tip of their tongue, and the first person they talk to me about. That’s your goal.
